BREASTS IN VIEW AND TRANSPARENCY IS THE NEW BLACK

5 Paris Fashion Week trends you need to know

Fashion month is over. Last week, Louis Vuitton and Miu Miu wrapped up the traveling circus, and the models could relax on their mothers' couches with a cup of hot soup (and the rest of the fashion entourage this) and we can relay the main movements. Here we go!

1. The security

It is at a fashion show at least as strict as at the airport. You just don't have to take off your shoes and let yourself be searched with a blue plastic bag around your feet, but having your bag checked and walking through a detection gate past a cordon of men with machine guns is part of the day.

2. Transparency is the new black

You might think that everyone was wearing the hoodies from Vetements (a too cool and bizarrely expensive label that is all the rage in fashion land), but don't underestimate the transparent clothing items. On the catwalk (just look at the skirts from Dior), but also on the street. Sheer is the new black, and especially show off your bra.

“Bet you’ll find it beautiful?”

3. Breasts in view

This brings me immediately to the next point. Or points. Because the breasts took center stage. At Céline, the breasts were Vera van Erp only covered by a spider web-like embroidery, at Saint Laurent we saw a nice décolletage where one breast was covered and one was not, and at Giambattista Valli it was a parade of tetas with a lot of sheer dresses. So live by the old credo: if you have it, flaunt it.

4. The dilemma of the bag

They are either so small that you can really only fit a tampon in it or so large that you can transport your pack of puppies in it. For the chihuahuas among bags, you go to Hermès or Valentino, and for the jet-setters, you head towards Balenciaga and Céline.

5. Pink is always a good idea

If I have to point out a color that will be in next year, it is pink. Preferably a bright variant and in a wild mood preferably combined with purple. Bet you’ll find it beautiful?
