The highlights of Skins Cosmetics
Last week I had a presentation at Skins Cosmetics and you understand that I had no problem making two hours free in my schedule for that. I often bounce in there and have never walked out empty-handed. Problematic, I know. You can imagine that it is a store that has plenty of nice things to offer and that visiting Skins Cosmetics by invitation only increases the joy. It only gets worse. Skins has so much new and fun to offer that I am going to double my visits in the coming months and that you will also catch that little black dress at the entrance a bit more often from now on. And here's why.
1. Zoe Karssen – The Perfume
About her entire collection is displayed in the wardrobe of your beloved editors, so to make that wardrobe bigger and bigger, Zoe Karssen also thought of launching a perfume. The name: Unicorn Tears, after one of her most popular designs. The scent itself is magical and mysterious, which the Zoe Karssen girl naturally is as well. It is a combination of soft orange blossom, mandarin, and jasmine with in the background the warmth of musk and sandalwood which makes it very exciting. Good. Now for sale, so ideal to complete your Karssen look, I think.
2. The niche scents of Clean
My ultimate favorite launch is the niche scents of Clean. Not only is the packaging loveable (very clean, very light, and only with the necessary information), but the scent itself is really something to fall in love with. The scents of fresh laundry, warm cotton, rain, and skin may sound dull, but they are really the scents you want to have around you all day. You understand that the Blonde Rose (which I received) slid straight into my bag and that I now have my sights set on Warm Cotton. My goodness, these are really going to be my new signature scents.
3. The skin from Iceland
All those beauties from the north of Europe are known for their porcelain skin. Well, you can now also just buy that skin at Skins. It comes in a bottle from Bioeffect with the EGF Serum. I could talk about it for a long time because it is an incredibly special and interesting story, but what you are probably curious about is whether it really works. Well, it does. A drop every evening, get a few hours of sleep, and the lines around your eyes and your skin will really diminish. Hello skin from Iceland, you are very welcome!
4. Needles No More
For me no injections, way too exciting. If I can achieve the same effect with a good cream or nice mask, then I would much prefer that. Now I was already a huge fan of the mousse from Dr. Brandt that tightens your skin immediately – even after an exhausting 12-hour flight – but now there is a 3D-filler mask. Sounds incredibly exciting, but it is a leave-on mask that fills in wrinkles and folds, making your skin look instantly tightened. Seems like a great plan to postpone those needles for a while.
5. Immersed in the world of Diptyque
Hear, see, and be silent. We can all turn it off (preferably not), but we will always smell. Thank God. Know Eau des Sens Eau de Toilette as the best, because that is what we want to sniff at all day long. Therefore, another new scent that we really can't ignore. When you smell the orange and wood facets, it should make you dream of a good vacation in a sunny country. So we may not hear, see, and be silent anymore, but dreaming away is of course always allowed.
