5 REASONS WHY YOU SHOULD GO TO THE BACCHUS WINE FESTIVAL
The season has started again. Some buy as many tickets as possible for a huge dance festival, but I am really looking forward to the outdoor food festivals. Or drink festivals. Something like the Bacchus Wine Festival in the Amsterdamse Bos, I mean. With lots of wine (duh), food, and music, so there will definitely be dancing.
During the weekend of June 10, 11, and 12 and the weekend of June 17, 18, and 19, the Amsterdamse Bos will be transformed into a huge party with wine, food, and music, and with fairy-tale lighting at dusk. I’m already crossing my fingers for nice weather.
Are you coming with me? I’ll give you a few good reasons to go:
- The best chefs and sommeliers are out to serve the tastiest wines and snacks.
- You can also gain some wine knowledge at this festival, as the sommeliers are more than happy to provide explanations.
- With your admission ticket, you not only have access to the festival grounds, but you also receive a glass (a nice wine glass, of course) so you don’t have to deal with plastic cups. You can keep having your own glass refilled at different bars.
”Oh yes, fun news! I’m giving away 3 times 2 tickets, how do you like that?”
- Really good wine is served, so no headache afterwards. Well, I can’t actually guarantee that.
- There is a mix of restaurants running small stalls there (for example, Terpentijn and Jacobs) and there are super cool food trucks from Brandt & Levie, Fromagerie Kef, and Wood Pizza.
- There is music (just take a look here at the line-up), so dancing is possible. And on a sultry summer evening with a good glass of wine in your hand, that’s fantastic.
Oh yes, fun news! I’m giving away 3 times 2 tickets, how do you like that? Like the Bacchus post on our Facebook page and tag someone you really want to go to the festival with. On June 6, I will announce the winner (also on Facebook). I would know…
