5 things you should not do with your bikini
Okay okay okay, today The contents are chaotic, but I always have large bags. I am a huge workaholic and there are really only work items in it. It's all mixed up. This happens to be a bag that is quite straight, so it stays a bit organized. it, but I just know for sure that you have already taken your bikini out of hibernation these days, because the horizontal season is officially open. And if I judge you a bit well, you managed to find the right bikini (otherwise here read a little longer) and you don't feel guilty that it turned out to be a bit more expensive than a Zara piece.
For everyone whose credit card is still bent from misery; here five reasons why it is not a big deal to buy an expensive bikini. But, make sure you take good care of it. Then it will last for years.
1. Shower before the dive
Often a shower is advised because it is a bit more hygienic, but the water closes the fibers so that they will absorb less chlorine or salt water later. Admit it: a clever trick.
2. Rinse that thing
Don't leave that beach bag in the trunk and think ‘I'll see that tomorrow’, just rinse it immediately in the sink.
3. Be careful with sunscreen
Your bikini won't be happy about that greasy stuff. Apply it before you put on your bikini or avoid contact with the fabric itself.
4. Let it dry lying down
The fabric of your bikini absorbs moisture making it heavier. If you let it dry hanging, it will stretch out. Just rinse off after swimming, go back to your horizontal starting position, let everything dry like that and there’s nothing wrong.
5. Be careful where you sit
I had to pose on a rock in Capri recently. Quite a painful affair anyway, but my bikini bottom was complaining so much that I could hardly get above it. Bikinis (and swimsuits) live the longest and happiest on soft mattresses and so do we.
