7 TOP REASONS TO TRAVEL MORE THIS YEAR
I have completely caught the travel vibe. On Thursday, I am finally heading off to Paris, a few weeks later to Barcelona and then my suitcase rolls on to a real Tuscan wedding. The more I am on the road, the more I want to be. I have caught the wanderlust virus. And it is the best flu I have ever had.
Traveling truly feels like therapy. And that’s why I recommend everyone to skip that shopping spree once and spend those hard-earned euros on a ticket, hotel room, and loads of sunscreen. 7 reasons to push you over the edge:
1. You learn to overcome your fears
I often get panic attacks on the plane, but really; the more I travel, the less I have that.
2. You get to know yourself very well
In good times and bad. And as a result, you become a richer person.
3. You meet new people
HELLO, I found my great love during a holiday in Zakynthos, Greece. And I still keep in touch with two brothers I met in Los Angeles.

4. You gain different insights
You get to know other cultures and realize that our norms and values are not necessarily the right ones. For sad circus monkeys in Thailand, the opposite applies, by the way.
5. You learn to eat new things
Abroad, I tasted my first snails in garlic butter. And I didn’t like Dutch olives, but those Greek ones, wow. Indian curry, Balinese spice mix, grasshoppers as far as I’m concerned, abroad you taste all sorts of craziness and some of that you take home with you in your eating habits.
6. You find out what you really want in life
When traveling, you have the space to think. Maybe the job you’ve always dreamed of isn’t what you want at all. Or maybe you suddenly realize that you’ve made mistakes or that you should be incredibly happy.
7. You can recharge your battery completely
And it doesn’t matter at all whether you are lying on a Balinese beach or locking yourself in a cabin in the Veluwe with your loved one. No work for a while, no social media for a while, no iPhone, goodbye.
Well, it seems clear to me. You are going to take a trip within now and a maximum of three months. Promise?
