6 Style lessons you can learn from Lizzy van der Ligt

Lizzy is the best-dressed woman in the country. At least, that's what I think. And apparently I'm not alone, because Lizzy has 175,000 loyal followers on Instagram. She has the figure and appearance of a Parisienne, but sometimes that's just a bit too understated for me and, excusez, too unwashed.

I would rather call her clothing style that of a Milanese who grew up in Brazil. It's fun and cheerful and, unlike the prim Parisiennes, Lizzy isn't afraid of a little logo here and there. Are you ready for Lizzy's style lessons? Seatbelt fastened, here we go.

1. Color

I've never seen Lizzy in total black, and Anna Wintour will be happy about that (just look why). When you see Lizzy, you see a color palette that has exploded with cheerfulness. You might see her in red sweatpants, orange sneakers, a white sweater with banana print, a red bag, and a blue embroidered comfort piece. 'Safe' is boring. here 2. Invest in eye-catchers.

Lately, you see Lizzy intimately intertwined with her red Louis Vuitton. Or you see her with her floral Miu Miu sunglasses or with her yellow Vuitton bag that she happily matches with a leopard print jacket. No one has ever been blown away by someone walking around with a dark blue bag. Think about that.

3. Sneakers.

We have long known that a fashion girl doesn't have to go through life in heels. Lizzy prances through the streets of Paris/London/Los Angeles in comfy sneakers or those cute Miu Miu ballerinas.

Which I have also ordered. That's because of Lizzy. Yes, you don't end up in this section for nothing.. 4. Small tattoos.

I am tattoo-free and really won't get any, but I can get very cheerful from Lizzy's size zero tattoos. Three dots, a small bow, and a star. I suspect there is also a little Louis Vuitton drawn somewhere.

5. Red is always good.

When in doubt, wear red. Then everyone knows you were there.

6. Patches and stickers.

Because there is only one like you, you also make your clothing unique. Embroider your jacket with patches. Or your pants. And stick those stickers on your suitcase, there can really be one more.
