And so the countdown begins. Ten weeks to go until Trump officially becomes the forty-fifth president of the United States. From January 20, the White House will turn orange. Now I usually don't mind a touch of orange: nice with King's Day, a World Cup or European Championship. But this is a shade that could very well stay out of my color palette. But the people of America have voted and in about 67 nights, perhaps the absolute best president of America ever will say goodbye to his throne. Fortunately, the White House's house photographer Pete Souza leaves us with about two million photos of the best man. Here’s a selection of my favorites:

Barack and Michelle are an extreme form of #couplegoals. I can't handle it. I want to be there. I want to be their permanent third wheel. Or adopted blonde daughter from the Netherlands. Something.

Ha, Barack and I have something in common. I always do this too with Theo when I need to go to the little girls' room and have to walk past his desk. BOX.

An animal lover. I'm in love.

Don't expect that a photo like this will ever be taken of Donald. That birds' nest on his head is a no-go. But with Barack, oh come on, of course, just pet my round head.

This is what I call humor. Come on, just a few extra kilos. And that poor man must be thinking: shit, drank a bit too much Budweiser. Or do they have taste in the White House and drink Dutch beers?

My heart can't take this. Barack and Jimmy Fallon and The Roots. Sweet dreams are made of this.

Movie night with Barack. Sounds fun. Has he seen the new Netflix hit The Crown yet? I'm happy to watch it with you, Barry.
