At ease
Despite the fact that these are the busiest weeks of the year, they are also the most fun weeks. Since most people are about to go on vacation, many are trying to quickly wrap everything up before they head out. I'm no different. Saturday marked the start of my long, lazy vacation (well, that's what I hoped) with a long weekend in Paris with my husband, mother, and children. The day before, all the girls said goodbye to school, which was great fun of course, as I secretly had a glass of wine with the other mothers in the square while our children ate pancakes. It was quite busy again, as a gift had to be provided for each teacher and I had to arrange fruit skewers for Gijs's farewell, who is leaving the class. And oh yes, the night before I only got home at 2:30 AM after a road trip for our summer magazine.
Anyway, I won't bother you too much with my schedule, but just know that the days are too long and the nights too short. With my friends without children, it's no different. Take Jet for example. First, she went on a mini-vacation with her father, followed by a slightly less mini-vacation with her love and parents. In between, you have Amayzine of course, her column for Het Parool, the videos she makes, and shoots with magazines due to the launch of Het boek van Jet.
