MAY’S OMODA FAVORITES

The 7 it-shoes of the season

Wanting to spend all your money on shoes isn’t crazy. Shoes always fit and they’re the perfect way to complete any outfit. Getting your hands on great new it-shoes is going to be the icing on top of the cake for your 2016 wardrobe. Plus, in complete May-Britt logic, it’ll help you save money too.

The pump with the sturdy heel

Pumps are always going to be in, although this summer it’s all about thicker heels which we love. Try to be surprising when it comes to how you style it. So instead of wearing them under a skirt, pair it with your baggy jeans.

The comfortable sandal

For the days you want to walk on flats instead of heels. Although heels might be better for your posture, they’re not the perfect fit for the days you spend at the beach. I’m so content with my own sandals and these Ugg Australia ones are the perfect alternative for that other brand that starts with a B…

Between the toes

Same story as the latter, although I think these shoes are made for more of a distinctive look. They’re the perfect pair to tag along on a vacation, but work well at the office too.

The espadrilles

I’m still staying closer to the ground because there’s no way around it – this summer you’re going to spending as much time at the beach or in the park as you can and heels just aren’t the perfect match. The espadrilles slowly but surely made a surprising comeback a few years back when Chanel brought out a luxurious version of the shoes. Although their price tag isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, so these from Fred de la Bretoniere are going to your best alternative to wear with jeans, skirts, a dress and even a suit.

The two-strap

These exude sexiness. With jeans, with a dress and even more so with a pair of bermuda pants. Yep, because those too are making a comeback this summer and yep, they can use a bit of sex appeal.

Multi-colored

These Tommy shoes are the perfect wedding-guest shoes. They’re so festive and far from plump. Want to spice up an exuberant suit? Then these babies will do all the work for you.

The ankle cowboy boots

I’m not one to tell you want you need to wear, but I highly recommend you get yourself a pair of cowboy boots. Quite possible the number one it-shoe for the summer. Ideal for negligé dresses, long skirts, short denim skirts. Call it the shoe for the summer if you may. Festival season, I’m ready for you.

MAY’S OMODA FAVORITES

The 7 it-shoes of this season

It’s not crazy at all that you always want shoes shoppen. They always fit and they complete your outfit. If you buy the right it-shoes now, you can completely refresh your wardrobe for 2016. This way you save money and can buy another pair. Logic à la May-Britt. No arguing with that.

The pump with the sturdy heel

Of course, the pump will always be in style, although this summer we see it with a sturdy heel and we are happy about that. Try to use the pump in a surprising way. So not under a skirt (because that’s too prim), but under those baggy jeans.

The good sandal

If you go for flats, they have to be good. A heel does more for you than a flat one, but going to the beach in heels is a bit much. I’m absolutely happy with my sandals and find these from Ugg Australia a very good alternative for that other brand that starts with a B…

Between the toes

Same story as point 2, although I find these even better suited for a more distinctive look. What a lovely sandal this is. Can go on vacation, but also really to the office on a warm day.

The espadrille

I’m staying close to the ground for a while, because in the summer you are often at the beach or in the park and heels are just not that handy. The espadrille cautiously peeked around the corner two years ago when Chanel launched a luxury version in boutiques. They are beautiful but not suitable for every budget, so hooray for these nice Freds that I find perfect under jeans, skirts, dresses, and even suits.

The two-strap

So sexy is the two-strap shoe. Under jeans, under a dress, and especially under bermuda shorts. Yep, that’s coming back this summer and yep, it could use a bit of sex appeal.

Multi-colored

These shoes from Tommy I find the perfect wedding guest shoe. They are festive and comfortable, but not too frumpy. You have to manage from saying 'I do' to hanging out in the lights. Moreover, this shoe can be worn with a slightly less exuberant suit just fine.

The short cowboy boot

I don’t often say something must be done, but the short cowboy boot I do seriously recommend to you. It is the shoe of this summer, it makes every outfit current and it is of course extremely comfortable. Flowy negligé dress above, long skirt, short denim shorts. Call it and this boot will finish it off. Festivals, here I come…
