ALWAYS TROUBLED BY A SHITTY MONDAY MORNING FEELING?

Ho. Stop. This is the solution.

This morning I really had that ‘yeah right’ feeling. Even though I had already looked for my bed around half past 10 last night (that's quite impressive), I started this morning anything but fresh and fruity. Why does Monday always bother us?

Fortunately, I'm not the only one. That would be something. Over 64 percent of people worldwide suffer from the so-called ‘Monday Blues’, according to research by Spotify in which over 3000 people were surveyed. And now you can probably feel the storm brewing, because the same research shows that your favorite music is an effective tool against the Monday morning feeling. No wonder I feel a little less bad when I walk towards the station with a nice beat, grumbling and all.

In fact, music seems to work just as well as coffee to get motivated again. If it were up to the respondents, music is even preferred over eating and exercising as a way to gain more energy at the beginning of the week. So you know what you have to do. When that bastard of a maandag next week is at the door again, you beat him hard with your headphones.
