Attention tapas tigers: these are all the nice spots in Barcelona

As you here and here Even though I could read, last week I made a super cool trip with my love to the most fun Spanish city. And as promised: you still had this from me. All the cool restaurants, clubs, and shopping areas in a row:

Boca Grande

A really fun little restaurant where you can still dance in the bathroom after dinner. And yes, I get it: that sounds weird. But they have a disco bathroom. Now it's your turn.

Xaloc

For the truly original Spanish tapas, you need to check this place out. The restaurant is a bit hidden in the Barri Gòtic neighborhood, but the atmosphere is totally worth it.

CDLC

Which actually stands for Carpe Diem Lounge Club and that says enough. It’s located by the beach and is a sort of Buddha-Bar.

Ciudad Condal

Perfect for lunch. Tip: go just before or after lunch time, otherwise there’s a huge queue here.

Cachitos

A relatively new restaurant with a tapas menu that will impress you. Afterwards, you can have a cocktail in the cocktail bar downstairs.

Opium

My absolute favorite. This place is by the beach, there’s always good music and a nice atmosphere. And do go in a bit chic, because there’s a strict dress code.

Sutton

One of the most famous clubs in Barça. Don’t be surprised if you run into Lionel Messi here, because the place is popular among footballers. It’s the most fun here on Thursdays.

Nick Havana

If you’re looking for a club where mostly locals and students go, this is a great plan. Only Spanish music it is!

Shopping!

You’ll find the best deals at Portal del Angel and Passeig de Gracia. And hello, the magic word in July and August is REBAJAS. In other words, big discounts at almost all stores. Also in the Barri Gòtic neighborhood, you’ll find trendy boutiques. More in the mood for some alternative fashion? Then the separate neighborhood Raval is the place to be.

Sightseeing

Of course, you’ll check out Park Güell by Gaudí, be careful in the pickpocket-sensitive La Rambla area, take a peek at Sagrada Família, and in the evening you can admire the light show at the Montjuïc fountain at Plaça d’Espanya.
