Okay, Blokker thought: we need to innovate, we need to be cooler, change the logo, take everything out and put it back in, and we need someone to do a bit of advertising for us. Shout that we are back, rish and shine, so to speak.

Let's call Carrie, Mr. Blokker thought then. She is perfect for our home, garden, and kitchen store chain, isn't she? Carrie certainly won't get out of bed for Manolo Blahniks, but maybe for a pair or ten thousand. And so she said ‘yes’.
