DRINKING THE STARS

With only 8 days to go until we can toast to another complete year around the sun, I think this is the perfect moment to briefly talk about the most important part of the evening: the champagne. Just imagine, New Year's Eve without bubbles? What a misery. And not just on New Year's Eve, I also love drinking it at Christmas. Champagne with my annual shrimp cocktail, with a pastry, with turkey… Heck, I even like it with my dessert.

However, if you’re not much of a star in the kitchen but are looking for a star-worthy meal with of course the most delicious bubbles? Then I have something fun for you. Dom Pérignon has teamed up with four Executive Chefs and sommeliers from the Netherlands' top to create the Dom Pérignon Experience. Throughout the entire month of December (so only 8 days to go), you can enjoy a special Dom Pérignon menu offered in four restaurants across the country.

“Heck, I even like it with my dessert.”

Especially for this exclusive experience, the chefs together with their sommelier have given a personal interpretation to the Dom Pérignon P2, also known as the second plénitude. Due to the three plénitudes (the three different aging years of the Dom Pérignons), each bottle has its unique character. An unforgettable experience where the superior flavors of the chefs‘ high culinary level provide an extra ’drinking the stars’ highlight.

Want to know where to go to experience the Dom Pérignon Experience yourself? Make sure to reserve at restaurant Latour, located in Huis ter Duin in Noordwijk, restaurant Taiko in the Conservatorium Hotel in Amsterdam, restaurant De Bokkedoorns in Overveen, or at restaurant La Rive in the InterContinental Amstel in Amsterdam before the end of the year. Cheers in advance, and a happy new year.
