THE WEDDING HAIR DIARIES
#3 CITYWEDDING

At a wedding, you want to leave nothing to chance. You desperately search for the perfect dress, trying on slippers that Cinderella would envy, and then there's that hair. The hair. Quite a thing, because you don't want a Roy Donders look with rose hairpins and glitter spray. Last week we started our crash course ‘Wedding hair’ where you were immersed in Italian vibes. We are giving away four amazing looks for future brides and four looks for the important guest, so you can add even more allure to the dress code.

This week it's Tessa's turn. She has an enormous glamour wedding planned in the heart of Amsterdam. Getting married at the Stopera, then sailing through the canals and finishing off with quite a party at The Harbour Club. With Amsterdam singers, of course. Everything is arranged down to the last detail. Except for that hair. Well, then you're at the right place at The Building. Adriana has come up with an amazing look for Tessa. And do you also have a city wedding planned? Pay close attention, it saves a lot of headaches.

First, divide the ponytail into two parts. First, make a ponytail with the lower section of hair. Tease the top for some extra volume. Then combine it into one big voluminous ponytail.

As a bride, you want your hair to stay in perfect shape all day long. No hassle with it falling out, no fuss about putting pins back in place; you just want to not have to worry about anything. So prep your hair the right way and also take the baby hairs into account.

Step 2: Teasing

The look can be voluminous. Really go for it with the teasing. Of course, do it neatly, because it shouldn't turn into a bird's nest. So tease at the roots, as that works best.

Step 3: Updo

Pin up half of the hair nicely and ensure some volume at the top. Secure everything with bobby pins. Oh, and make sure to hide those bobby pins neatly, otherwise you'll still end up with a rather failed hairstyle.

Step 4: Curling

With a curling iron, make sure that all the strands that fall loose get a nice curl. Brush them out a bit, because you want to give it a natural fall and not create an Annie look on top.

Step 5: Accessory

As a finishing touch, an accessory can be very beautiful. Place the accessory a bit asymmetrically in the hair, as that gives a much cooler effect. Otherwise, it all looks too neat.

Now you can definitely practice the most beautiful look yourself. And once you are married, it is incredibly fun to repeat that look endlessly to relive the day. But do you want your hair to look really good on the day itself? Then you should visit The Building . They transformed these ladies into enchanting princesses. And then you are guaranteed the coolest look and literally have no worries on your mind.
