Elles Nijkamp. The woman who makes you the most beautiful and who is also incredibly sweet. When you sit in her chair, you feel safe, that's how it feels. And when you're done, you still feel completely yourself (that can sometimes be different after a makeup session), just a little bit prettier. Elles is the best makeup artist there is and also loves good food. You understand, I'm a fan.

Where in the world is your favorite restaurant?

‘Spice Market in New York meets The Jane in Antwerp. I really can't choose…’

And who would you really like to have dinner with? It can be anyone.

‘With Barack Obama. I'm a big fan, also of Michelle, aren't they amazing together?’

Where do you prefer to sit in a restaurant?

‘Haha, my friend would say where you can see everything and everyone. But I prefer dining in beautiful light.’

What do you always hope is on a menu?

‘A lot of pure and light starters, I often take those as a main course.’

And do you also dislike something?

‘Coriander, it really has a soapy taste.’

Do you find your way on the wine list?

‘Mwah, not really, I prefer to give my dining companion priority. Or I ask for advice from a sommelier.’

Starter or dessert?

‘Ice cream, haha, that can also work perfectly as a starter and main course.’

As a makeup artist, I assume you often depend on catering. What do you always hope for?

‘Fresh fresh fresh… Salad, soups, grilled vegetables, but fresh please (I always have fresh nuts or something like that with me, just in case).’

What fun project are you currently working on?

‘Together with photographer Yvette Kulkens, I started NaardeStudio last year. That is an amazing daylight studio where we produce totally different shoots.

And… Where I develop my latest MAKEUPLAND project ‘Hair & Make-Up Coaching’. I can make even more people happy, how fun!’
