WHAT YOU CAN DO FOR YOUR DEAR MOTHER
Sunday is Mother's Day and if you think you have the sweetest mother in the world and it's also possible to serve her breakfast in bed, why not? Aren't we ever too old for that? Okay, fine, a lunch. Or a brunch, that's fine too. I'll give you more tips on how to surprise your mother or someone else you just really care about.
- Write a card. A small effort, doesn't cost much and has a huge effect. It doesn't have to be a long letter, just a few sentences about why she is so sweet. Or a nice anecdote that you often think back to. Well, be creative and write from your heart.
- Or write a beautiful quote on a piece of paper and frame it.
- I find an experience much more fun than a big gift. Take her somewhere. Even if it's just a ride to the beach or a walk in the woods. As long as it's just the two of you.
- Give her a nice cookbook and cook a delicious recipe from the book together that same evening.
- What you could also do is give an experience, but specifically for her and her loved one. Maybe they could also use some attention from each other.
- Ask if you can help with something. Emptying the kitchen, sorting the wardrobe, taking bottles away; something like that. She will be happy.
- Book a workshop. Cooking, making chocolates, knitting, painting, yoga: anything goes.
- This is often done on Mother's Day, and rightly so: a day at the spa.
- Give her a mega super big hug.
