But we are talking about a Dyson. This is the Hermès of hairdryers, and you might still think that this is a lot of money for a hairdryer, but once you finish reading this piece in four minutes, you'll be ordering it. Bet?
1. Its appearance
Where you normally hide your hairdryer as quickly as possible in a basket, this one gets a place of honor on your sideboard. It just bursts with good looks. It comes in dark gray that couldn't match my wall better, or in beautiful off-white. You choose.
2. The sound
The technical ladies and gentlemen at Dyson have spent months working on the sound. Of course, a hairdryer produces noise, but the goal was that you could keep chatting about that cute guy who might also be at the party while drying your hair. This is possible because the motor – made by Dyson itself – is placed in the handle of the hairdryer, which results in a quieter airflow.
3. The cord
It's also nice in color (yes sorry, that makes me happy), but the cord is mainly sturdy and long, so you can take a step to the left if your sweetheart needs to come by or easily grab your phone that's lying a bit further away while still drying your hair.
4. The power
The big guys at Dyson have come up with a technique that prevents you from ‘losing’ air. The suction effect of the hairdryer is compressed, resulting in a strong ‘air stream’. This makes your hair beautifully smooth.
5. The handle
As I mentioned above, the motor is in the handle of the hairdryer. In others, the motor is at the back of the hairdryer, but because the motor is in the handle of the Dyson Supersonic™, the machine is much more balanced.
6. No more burnt hair
Do you know that feeling? You're drying your hair and suddenly smell a scorched scent because the hairdryer is sucking in hairs at the back that get tangled in the motor? You won't have that with the Dyson, because the mesh through which the air flows is so fine that no hair can get in.
7. The temperature
The Dyson never gets hotter than 105 degrees. That's much less than other hairdryers. Thanks to the strong air stream, you get the same polished effect, but this is so much better for your hair.
