Fashion dilemma of the week
What do I wear on King's Day
from the closet?
Wednesday is King's Day, and even though the weather gods have treated us to a number of incredibly nice and sunny days this week. Unfortunately, next week looks a lot less bright. At least the weather looks less bright.. This doesn't mean that your King's Day look has to be any less festive. On the contrary, now that the sun rays are absent, this might be the perfect moment to bring some extra cheer to your outfit for, for example, the Kingsland festival or perhaps your annual walking tour at a flea market. How do you do that best? With color. And of course, preferably in our orange shade.
Aside from the fact that orange really shouldn't be missing on King's Day, it's a color that we are currently seeing a lot. Because okay, King's Day = orange. But that certainly doesn't mean you have to leave your orange blouse hanging in the closet for another year after April 27. Orange is currently a widely worn color in fashion land. And such a cheerful color can brighten up your basic outfit in no time. And last but not least: whether or not you like that wobbly tiara or inflatable crown. Always wear your invisible crown and your look will definitely be on point!
This sleeveless dress makes everyone happy. Wear a denim jacket over it for a slightly tougher twist. And those buttons are the cutest, right? The great thing about this trend is that you can easily get started with an old, boring, or torn jacket. I say: plan that DIY afternoon for this weekend! Sneakers underneath and your King's Day look is complete!
Sleeveless dress €39.99 H&M
Badge jacket €68,- Topshop
Sneakers with mesh €39.95 Zara
Hair crown €90.14 Wolf&Moon via Asos
Orange is fun, but a total look in the color can be quite intense. A cool clutch or heels as an eye-catcher can actually be enough. Especially if you secretly love all the wrong party accessories, this is a super nice and stylish look to walk around in on your King's Day.
