GREAT NEWS

Red wine is good for your figure

I knew it, I knew it, I knew it. But I was always missing the scientific support. Wine consists of a lot of calories (true) and by drinking alcohol you loosen your sense of control and get your hands on everything that’s bad for you. But finally, finally, I found a scientific study (from Harvard, 13 years of research on 20,000 women) to back me up.

I already noticed it during my alcohol free month back in January. Well, almost alcohol free. My intentions were not to lose weight, although that was a welcoming side effect. So what did happen? I found myself preying on cake with a ton of whipped cream, dreaming about Ben & Jerry’s and instead of saying ‘no, I’m fine thanks, I kept saying ‘yes please’. People can say what they want to, but I was doing perfectly fine living off of a glass of wine a day. As was my body.

In Tim Ferriss’ book ‘The 4-hour body, an uncommon guide to rapid weight loss’ he wrote that one or two glasses of red wine in the evening will help prevent diabetes, it’ll crank up your sex life and help you avoid getting the ‘midnight munchies’.

For everyone who is about to say; who the F is Tim Ferriss, I have the research from Harvard I would like to address. Harvard spent 13 years testing 20,000 women who drank 2 glasses of red wine each evening. One of their outcomes was that the likelihood of being obese was significantly smaller than that of women who didn’t drink.

Moral of the story? Drink that glass of wine. You definitely don’t have to worry about gaining any weight. Just drink modestly because the words ’too many’ only sound good if it’s describing the amount of Chanel bags and Jimmy Choo shoes you own.
