Gwen’s stalker roams free… seriously?!

It’s been the talk of the week in Hollywood: Gwyneth Paltrow’s stalker has been released. Surprised doesn’t even cut it. I find it downright insane.

The American legal system is one I’ll never be able to fully wrap my head around. Even the biggest weirdo’s out there just get released back into the wild by just showing a tad bit of sympathy. Same situation in Gwen’s case. Even after the multitude of attempts to keep her stalker behind bars, TMZ threw it out there that her story hadn’t been strong enough to persuade the judges. According to the jury, the man is not guilty of stalking. Seriously?

6 facts about Gwenyth’s stalker. Read ‘em and be creeped out, guys:

1. The man in question, Dante Soiu, has been harassing her for SE-VEN-TEEN years.

2. He didn’t only send her letters, presents and ‘sexually intimidating material,’ he even threatened her family members…
3. Earlier in the month Gwyneth broke down in tears in the courtroom when she spoke about all the things Dante Soiu had done to her.

4. Okay, apparently not guilty, perhaps a psych treatment would be a good idea? Nope, no need according to the jury. For your information: back in 2000 he had been sent to psych ward because of his obsession for the actress.

5. The LAPD even released a statement in which they stated that they saw the man as a threat for Gwyneth. According to them, the odds of him leaving her alone were slim to none.

6. That same group of officers is planning on heading to the judge to discuss what went ‘wrong’ in the courtroom.

Sounds to me like that’s going to be one heck of a long discussion. We’re rooting for you, Gwen!
