HE EXISTS, THE PERFECT WINTER COAT
Then I put it on, feel a flutter in my stomach and poof, it turns out to be a flash in the pan. It’s the curse of my wardrobe, I click them into the shopping bag and at the end out again and I hesitate, linger, hesitate and linger. My most recent specimen is about five years old. And I shiver through the winter with such an in-between. What I’m trying to tell you is this. I will NEVER (or well, almost never) proceed to buy a winter coat. No joke. My standards for winter coats are sky high and a purchase is exceptional. When the agreement between me and THE coat is there, then the cork must pop. And now, dear all, now there is something to celebrate.
I’ve been giving a huge wink to the parka for a thick season. You get it, I haven’t yet come across the perfect one. But that green and then that model, it was a contender in winter coat land. Already an achievement in itself. I was sniffing around in our future season, because Renske gave me the heads-up that starting early is pure necessity. So I dutifully scoured the worldwide web and hit the brakes in the USA. A parka. The most beautiful green. Bellissima cut. Warm. My handsome companion for the winter is from Woolrich. In all their parkas, you feel chic, but with a fresh breath of outdoor air. Now we’re talking, because that gives my day style but also a warm backside on the bike with Dutch weather. And I mean, when you tell that it comes from the very first outdoor company in America ever, then you have me. They also add technical features there at Woolrich . No kidding, that Gore-Tex version ensures that you arrive at your location bone dry in your outfit. And that’s exactly what we need when that first shower shows up.
Okay, am I now going to spin around in front of the mirror until it gets cold in the Woolrich Military parka and toast (and that new flame stays on, you get that).
