HOLY MOLY. WE LOVE OIL.
Because this is what it's all good for
In the past, I really didn't want anything to do with it. I always thought oil was just a greasy thing that caused a shiny and sticky face. Yeah okay, maybe I would put a drop of oil on my skin sometimes, but that was really only in the summer to make my hair extremely blonde and my skin extremely brown. Now I know better. And now I actually also know that oils (the good ones, okay, not olive oil from the kitchen cabinet) can only contribute to the most beautiful skin and the best hair.
Oil as a hydration pump
Oil naturally hydrates like crazy. Your skin becomes incredibly soft from it and due to the plant-based ingredients, it reacts very well to it. By the way, do pay a little attention to the plant-based ingredients, because those absorb quickly into the skin and provide the amazing glow. If you choose a fake one – so the olive oil from AH, delicious for salads, less nice for the skin – then it indeed becomes quite greasy.
Oil as a hair care product
Oil is incredibly nice to put a drop in your hair. When I just colored my hair, it was really like a bunch of straw. A drop of oil in it, let it soak in for a bit, and then it shines like crazy again. And your color? It really comes out much, much prettier.

Oil for the smoothest legs
It's just a matter of preference, but with some nourishing oil on the legs your razor glides smoothly and neatly cuts away all the hairs. The fact that it also works nourishingly is of course a plus.
Oil as a body scrub
Mix a bit of oil and coarse sea salt together (hello kitchen cabinet!) and you've conjured up a scrub. The sea salt scrubs away all the dead skin cells from your body, the oil remains and hydrates. This way, you also don't get an extremely red skin.
Oil as a primer
A dry oil also works well as a base for your makeup. Of course, you shouldn't choose a greasy one, because then it will become very shiny. So a dry one. This absorbs quickly into the face, nourishes a lot, and foundation and powders are absorbed more beautifully and evenly, giving you the most ultimate result. If you don't like it, choose a foundation where oil is one of the main ingredients.
Oil as a shine layer
Oil shines. Seems logical to me. So applying it to your legs to make them shine a bit more under a skirt is also very logical. Still choose a dry oil. It will definitely shine. Not stick.
Oil as medicine
Healthy nails? That starts with the cuticles. Because those dry stripes under your nail are of no use to you at all. If you use a few drops of a good cuticle oil every morning and evening, you won't have much trouble with that. Cuticle oils contain vitamin E that nourishes well, allowing your nails to grow neatly and beautifully. Other dry spots or scars? Good oil on it, keep applying and massaging, and voilà, they disappear quickly enough.
