Facts and fables about popcorn
The following question is often asked of me: is popcorn healthy, yes or no? Now I believe that you should eat everything in moderation, whether it's about a bar of chocolate or a plate of quinoa salad, so that also applies to popcorn, but to get back to the question: I think it's a fine snack.
But I will still give you some facts, fables, and tips so that you never have to be uncertain about popcorn again.
- Pop your own popcorn instead of eating it from a bag. There are always some less healthy additives in it.
- Choose salt instead of... Seems clear to me.
- Popcorn indeed contains few calories. So you won't get full quickly, which means you might eat a lot, so…
- There are antioxidants in popcorn. These antioxidants are anti-inflammatory and ensure that cholesterol, among other things, cannot settle in the blood vessels. You can forget this right away if you want.
- Popcorn contains a lot of fiber, good for the intestines!
