DIVE INTO LUXURY?

Dior knows how to do it

Nowadays I have a slight addiction to luxury. Call me a snob, but believe me, it has slowly crept in. Just like addictions do: they come slowly, but are hard to prevent. It actually started last Christmas with a scented candle. A scented candle from Dior, mind you. I was very frugal with it because I knew that thing cost a lot and I also knew I shouldn't burn it up like I do with the regular HEMA scented candles. No need, because the scent lasts three times longer and if you only have it on for a minute, the whole house already smells of luxury.

And then it was February and there was only a little bit left of the candle. I went with May to the Dior counter in the Bijenkorf where the same candle was burning. And luckily those pretty girls there said they only lit it for a quarter of an hour a day, so my frugality was actually justified. But still, that Dior counter beckoned for more. I walked into a display case full of bottles of La Collection Privée. My goodness. My favorite scented candle had 12 sisters in bottle form. I left with a mini (oh, the prettiest tester I've ever seen in my life) and the addiction was rekindled. A sigh later (yes, that mini is nice for a while) there was suddenly a large bottle on my shelf and now I completely immerse myself in La Collection Privée, you understand.

”My addiction has reached a peak and I'm afraid it will never stop”

My addiction has reached a peak and I'm afraid it will never stop. Especially not now that Wim has put on his Dior jacket again to tell us the beautiful story behind the scents and the bottles. In that fairy-tale way as he always does. And that has only made my love greater. Not only is the scent nice, the story is actually just as beautiful. I warn you, if you go take a look, because an addiction is lurking around the corner.
