Items that make your home look very expensive
My house is for sale. Just like about ten others in my block, but we still think our house is actually the most beautiful and the best. And honestly, that is of course true. But do you also have your house for sale or not, but do you want to make it look quite a bit more expensive; that is possible. And you really don't have to suddenly spend thousands of euros (you can do that too, of course); it can also be done with some small accessories.
Brass figurines
Yes, of course everything that is brass works well. Firstly, brass shines from all sides. It is also the case that when you lift something made of that material, it is not such a huge disappointment because it has quite a bit of weight and brass objects often have shapes that only expensive things have. That last part sounds strange, but almost everything that is extremely expensive has a special shape. That is also called art.
Paintings
Old paintings always do well. Now I understand that you can't just hang something from the Rijksmuseum on your wall, but you can certainly scout something old from the flea market. Something with pastel colors and a nice golden frame around it. And if questions are asked, you just pull up the name of an old painter. You'll make a double impression.
Coffee table book
Open a nice book to the most special pages. Preferably something about travel or interior, that always does well and inspires immediately.
Cloches
Actually, those things are completely out, I wrote that already here, but my house is still full of those things. Cloches are perfectly fine because they make everything underneath seem ten times more valuable. Especially if you really place ten of those cloches next to each other, it looks like an even richer whole.
Chandeliers
Renske has a vintage chandelier in her house. Made of brass. According to her, her house has really gained enormous value just by hanging that thing up. And let's be honest: when we think of chandeliers, we immediately think of castles and other princess houses, so that actually works very well.
Sheepskin
Then you shouldn't have the IKEA variant for ten euros (perfectly fine to put on a chair), for the better work you go for a luxury, dark, long-haired sheepskin. It really works better.
Flowers
And then make sure to have a fresh bunch every week. The flowers from Bloomon do incredibly well. These are not the standard specimens you can buy on every corner, but they are jewels that you always want to have in your home.
Cushions with embroidery
Not that you can comfortably lean against them or that a drop of dirt should come on them. Often those things are made of silk or velvet and you can never get a stain out of them. But well, not only the material affects the appearance. If you want to give it an extra upgrade, you can embroider two letters on it or have names printed on it in silver or gold.
