Look of the day

You should know that these photos were taken on an incredibly dreary day at the end of July. A day when the sun is supposed to be shining brightly and it should just be really summer. Because the weather doesn't really want to cooperate and does what it feels like, I've been dealing with a clothing crisis. In the morning I leave the house in long pants and a sweater because it's just autumn-like weather, but then in Amsterdam it suddenly gets quite warm and I'm sweating bullets. When I come into the office in the morning in a fluttering skirt with brown legs underneath, the temperature is freezing. So it's a crisis, you understand me.

And so I've created this outfit. First of all, I'm wearing a pleated skirt from & Other Stories that goes over the knee. It's a ‘transitional piece’: great for summer, but also great for the cooler days. On top, a shirt from H&M, a leather jacket from Zara, and sneakers from Nike. The bracelets are collections from Bon Bon Boutique and from & Other Stories. So it could be that you see me in this look every day. Because I don't have the feeling that the weather is going to adjust to me.
