Marie Claire in Malibu

It is here. Seven months of enjoying the wonderful life in Malibu are almost over. What an adventure it was to board the plane with the whole family, with ‘only eight’ suitcases, at the end of December not knowing what we were getting into. I am very proud of the children who quickly mastered the new language and fully adapted. I am also proud of the first television program that Jeroen and I made together here in Malibu.

We are going to miss the dear new friends we have made for life. But also the days that always started full of sunshine.

”The palm trees. The sea breeze. The peace. Enjoying each other. The time that seemed to stand still for a moment.”

The endless lounging and playing in the pool and on the beach. The drive through the beautiful vineyards where we rode horses. The atmospheric house on the mountain with a view of the sea. The palm trees. The sea breeze. The peace. Enjoying each other. The time that seemed to stand still for a moment. The realization that it is very special that we could do this with our family makes me able to enjoy this memory for a lifetime. A dream of having lived in America once in my life has come true. Although, as far as I'm concerned, it could have lasted a bit longer.

I really enjoyed sharing my stories and thoughts with you on Amayzine.com. Thank you, dear May-Britt, for finding my little stories interesting enough to include in your magazine.
