WOULD THIS BE ‘HIM'?

May thinks she has finally found the one...

So I thought I had had ‘the entire collection’ of Renault under my bottom and found it incredibly hard to choose my favorite from the selection. The Twingo was my first love and first loves tend to hook themselves into your heart. Moreover, it's cute and handsome and flexible, and everyone likes you when you drive a Twingo.

Then you had the Kadjar, a lot of car for your money, business-like, but also ideal for cramming your whole family (and fresh purchases) in. Or should I then choose the Captur, nicely elevated and sporty? But what we also had a wonderful holiday in the Espace. So comfortable and spacious and yet not too flashy, but understated chic.

To make my choice even a bit harder, I was handed the keys (well, keys, keys, they find that something incredibly 90’s at Renault, they have been giving a slightly larger version of a credit card that you can just leave in your bag while driving since 2000) of the brand new Clio.

And that one is pretty close to everything I want. It's small, but looks mature and with allure. It's really not the-little-lady-should-also-choose-a-car-for-the-groceries. No, it has guts, I also notice that on the highway where we (we are already a team) are seen as a serious player.

That then. Then (you understand: I am undoubtedly writing this completely out of order of importance) the speedometer and tachometer. They are designed in such a way that it looks just like a pair of sunglasses and I already get cheerful just looking at it. Anyway, the interior design is beautiful. The dashboard is a lovely two-tone palette (very Coco Chanel) which makes it look playful and spacious (which it is, by the way).

Then I want to pause for a moment at the green horizontal line under the tachometer. That line is cheerful green when you are in the right gear and turns orange when it’s about time to shift. This way you know every time that you are in the right (and most economical, so when are we going to buy shoes?) gear.

Also, special attention for the gear stick. It's tough, quick, and cute and handsome too.

Furthermore, I am in love with ‘my’ (this one is really never going back) glass ‘ceiling’, the turning circle, the nice spacious screen of the onboard computer, the camera that ensures I don't drive into the canal while parking, the range (because you wouldn't believe where I've been on one tank), the Bose speakers for the fantastic sound, and the design of the fans.

So are you looking for an affordable, compact, and cool car? I would say: you have found it here. And no, I don't have shares. Why not actually?
