How many bags do you have?
‘I guess about 20. I used to have a shoe addiction, but that love is starting to shift a bit towards bags these days. It's so easy to give your outfit a boost with a cool bag.’
What is the story behind this bag?
‘This bag is from Furla, one of my favorite bag brands. I received it as part of a collaboration. I already had a few Furla bags and was unsure whether to take a colored one or this one. I was afraid this one would be a bit too boring, but because it's black and white, it actually goes with everything and I wear it really often.‘
How do you handle your bag?
‘I don't clean my bag often and I'm not very careful with it, but I do keep all my designer bags in dustbags. All my bags are reasonably affordable, I can imagine that I would be much more careful with an expensive designer bag.’
What about the content?
‘This bag isn't very big, but big enough to carry everything I really need. I always take my favorite makeup items and a mirror for touch-ups: MAC Prep & Prime, eyeliner from Yves Rocher, and the lipstick I'm wearing that day. Besides that, I don't go anywhere without my iPhone 6S Plus, earbuds, and a portable charger.’
What do you always have with you?
‘Business cards, you never know who you might run into.’
What do you think are the best features of a bag?
‘My style is quite colorful, I'm not afraid to stand out and try new trends. When it comes to bags, I love timeless designs that go with every outfit. I also find the size important, I love small bags. A small bag adds a cute factor to any outfit.’
Which one is still on your wishlist?
‘So far, I mainly have small bags in my collection, so I can switch it up nicely. I would like to invest in a larger designer bag. My dream bag has been the Proenza Schouler PS11 for years, a true classic with a rock ’n roll touch. This year, another bag has been added: the Gucci Dionysus.’
