Paris, Mallorca, Copenhagen and Bali; I'm just mentioning a few recent travel destinations of Lily. Anyway, back to her bag which is what it's all about today. Curious about how many bags Lily has? Don't be shocked, I've warned you.

How many bags do you have?

‘Coincidentally, several people have asked me this lately. I bought two (!) bags this week at Designer Outlet Roermond. I know, not good in my head. I really have a bag obsession. I've counted them now, there are 52! OMG, what a confrontation, haha.’

What is the story behind this bag?

‘I didn't get my bag addiction from a stranger. My mother can also be quite the collector. I've been eyeing her bags since I was little and now I sometimes inherit a bag she no longer uses. She found one two years ago while cleaning out the back of the closet (which she bought more than 25 years ago) and I was so happy with it! I even ‘pimped’ the bag with a bright fluffy keychain.’

How do you handle your bag?

‘Pretty frugal, especially with the designer bags. I spray the bags every now and then and I store them in fabric bags.’

What about the content?

‘I can't live without the blue Blistex. I think I have 10 scattered around the house and in bags because I always lose them. Besides, my wallet (also inherited), my phone, keys, perfume, lipstick, sunglasses, Smashbox eyeshadow (more for the mirror), eyeliner, and baby cream for the dry winter days.’

What do you always have with you?

‘Actually, I almost always have two bags with me. A mini handbag for all the essentials I've mentioned above and one to complete my outfit. Additionally, I often carry an extra bag with my laptop and camera for my blog.’

What do you think are the best features of a bag?

‘Very cliché, but a bag is really a statement piece that completes your outfit.’

Which one is still on your wishlist?

‘I have a whole list! A Céline bag is definitely at the top. I find all Céline bags beautiful, so I almost don't care which one.’
