My life in a bag

This beautiful Céline is from our fashion friend Zoe Karssen. Zoe is currently one of the coolest fashion designers. We are the most eager for her sweaters with ‘Easy-Tiger’ and ‘What’s up buttercup’ texts, and we would love to move them straight to our own wardrobe. How many bags do you have?
‘I am a very lucky girl. I actually have six amazing bags.’
Which one is your favorite and why?
‘My Chanel Black Velvet Handbag. I don’t use it very often because the velvet gets stains quickly, and that would be a shame. I use it more in the summer than in the winter because it (usually) doesn’t rain then.‘
What is the story behind this Céline bag?
‘My husband Quince bought this for my birthday a few years ago. It is the largest bag I own and it is very handy for days like this, when I am at the office for a day but then want to do a few more things.’
Do you take good care of your bags or are you a bit careless (as in: do you just throw them in a corner or do you carefully place them in the dustbag in your closet)?
‘I am very careful with my bags. I keep them all in their original boxes and dustbags. They are all on my ‘bag shelf’ in my closet. I saved for a long time for my bags, so I am very careful with them and take very good care of them.’
How did you pack your bag this morning?
‘We are very busy finishing the spring/summer collection for 2017 this week, and I really want to go to the gym at the end of the day to blow off some steam. That’s why I packed my sportswear (from the new Zoe Karssen x Daphne Groeneveld active collection), sports shoes, and earphones, so I can go straight there.’
What items will we always find in your bag if we take a look inside?
‘You will always find my wallet, keys, phone, and a fragrance in my bag. When I travel, I definitely add a book to that. I really love to read when I travel alone. Oh, and I always have my earphones with me. I love watching videos of my nephew that my brother and his wife send me (he is one year old and very funny).’
What are the best qualities a bag can have?
‘The size! Actually, I prefer it to be almost as big as a weekend bag. Then you can take it with you when you go away for a night or when you have to travel. This bag has all of that, and that’s why I have it with me so often.‘
Are there any other bags on your wishlist?
‘This summer I would really like to buy a cool backpack, but I haven’t found ‘the right one’ yet. I saw a nice one online at Pierre Hardy a while ago, but I really want to see a bag in person first. I would never buy a designer bag without having seen it in real life.’
