My life in a bag

Keesje Heldoorn

You never know when the sun will shine, which is why Keesje always has sunglasses in her bag. Well, and to hide her broke head behind from time to time. Although I don't think anyone wants to see this pretty face hidden away. Curious about how Keesje goes out prepared and what she does with her genius ideas? You can read it here.

How many bags do you have?

‘Um, next question? No, I'm a showroom manager at oona PR, so let's just say I'm quite often tempted to take home some beauties.’

What is the story behind this bag?

‘I love buying things from relatively unknown brands, it often makes things just a little more exciting. This bag is by the Essentiel brand, a company from Antwerp that always appeals to me because of its exuberant prints and cool details. A shop will finally open in De 9 Straatjes soon!’

How do you handle your bag?

‘So I really am one of those people who puts receipts, empty packages and other junk in my bag and happily leaves it there for six months. I also stuff my bag far too full by default because I obviously choose the most impractical bag ever. Nice though.‘

What about the content?

‘I like to go out prepared, so I actually always carry sunscreen and hairspray. And a red lipstick for when you unexpectedly have to make the best of your far too casual outfit. And of course a lip scrub cannot be missing, because if there is anything I hate, it is skin. Yuck.’

What do you always have with you?

‘My sunglasses! You never know when the sun will shine or if you need to hide your broke head. Oh, and a notebook to write down all those genius ideas in ofcourse.’

What do you think are the best features of a bag?

‘That you can use it nicely every day if you want. At least I don't have to think about one thing about my outfit, haha.‘

Which one is still on your wishlist?

‘Super cliché, but then that really is a vintage Chanel bag. Just remains a classic. You never get rid of something like that either. Yes... why don't I have that one yet, actually?’
