7 THINGS YOU ONLY KNOW IF YOU'RE A BLONDE

For about a year now I've been welcomes into the world of blondes. I'm definitely happy about it, but it also requires some work. Suddenly my hair went from soft and shiny to an extremely beachy look. So it always looks like I've used a bit of salt spray, clean hair or not. I've changed my makeup routine too, I've made my brows bolder and my bronzing brush has become a daily regular. I've lined up a couple of things that you'll recognise if you're a blonde.

1. The dark eyebrow trend is a gift from heaven

Thin lines above your eyes or an extremely bleached pair are not meant for blondes. But Cara has shown us that it's perfectly okay to be a blonde and rock dark eyebrows. It gives you face more character.

2. Purple shampoo is your savior

Showering, swimming, hair products and anything along those lines, all of them can give your hair a bit of a yellow-orangey glow. Exactly what you don't want. Luckily there's shampoo to help you avoid it. It's actually meant for people with grey hair but works just as well with blondes.

3. You spend hours at the salon

Blonde hair. It's pretty and fun, but if it's not your natural colour, it requires some hours at a salon to get it. Not just half an hour, you need plenty of time to do this. Being a blonde takes time.

4. ...And you spend a lot of money there.

Hours at a salon, yes, this comes with a price tag too. The blonder, the more time you're going to have to sit in that stool and the more expensive it's going to be. You actually don't really want to know, so it's best you forget about the price as soon as you get it done.

5. Blondes are always thin. Always.

Most people with blonde hair also have extremely thin hair. Think of Barbie, she's great and all, has beautiful hair, but it's flossy. Sometimes her hair is in such an awful state and the best way to work with it is with hair masks, salt sprays and other products that will help volumes it.

6. It's hard to dye your hair

Or actually, when you're a blonde it's really easy to dye your hair. But people tend to forget about the end result. The dye will easily catch onto the hair, that's not the problem. The problem is that your hair becomes very porous and breaks daily. Even when it looks extremely clean, when you're originally a blonde, brown hair will look somewhat dirty. It's a shame.

7. Dye it back?

Not gonna happen. Blonde hair is so vulnerable and it takes an extreme amount of time to get back your original colour. Bleaching it is not an option, because you'll end up with a head with barely any hair. And the more you colour it, the less powerful your blonde locks will be. Patience is key here. You need a lot of patience and stock up on good products to compensate.
