Simone’s Portugal Diary

I know very well that I just returned from Ibiza and it’s completely unfair that I’m typing this piece from Portugal, but when Starwood Hotels asks if you want to join them for three days at a luxury resort to eat, drink, and chill, you obviously say YES right away.

It may be unfair, but it was necessary because I was still part of team snoten and had a gaping shortage of vitamin D.

Fortunately, my Ibiza suitcase was still half-packed next to the closet, so I tossed my wool sweaters in the corner, and the bikini can go with mom again for a bit.

I was ready and steady at Schiphol again on Thursday at three in the morning. It feels like a school trip, only with a ragtag class and a teacher who just joins in on the nighttime hotel room parties, I can feel it in everything.

Everything I thought happened. A ridiculously long weekend with lots of wine, golden oldies playing in the rooms until the German downstairs neighbors made themselves known. I hadn’t thought about having my own butler, but I could manage that.

If you happen to need a little break to a divine place. This is a recommendation. The resort is so big that I’ve already lost my way three times, my apartment in Amsterdam easily fits in my hotel room here, and the gym is so beautiful that even if you don’t work out, you want to be here. For the best insta photos or for uh, you know.

More wild stories tomorrow, have a nice day!
