HOW I SURVIVE THIS MADHOUSE

These days. There is only one word for it: madhouse. It started Wednesday evening. First, I had gone to a garden center with five children to buy Christmas supplies. Now my daughters have incredibly nice friends, and usually, nice friends have nice parents, so wine.

While the parents were sitting at the table with a glass and a bottle in front of them, two neighbors rang the bell who had a bundt pan that I needed. Because the next day was the Christmas dinner at school, and we had the task of bringing a bundt cake. Homemade, the teacher had added. Yes, then you don't dare to squash a store-bought one so that it really looks homemade. You just have to bake it yourself. But I didn't have a bundt pan. But I did have neighbors, who also started on the wine.

At that pace and in this chaos, the days went on. Still needed to get cheese from my favorite shop in Haarlem city center, pick up wine from Wijnhuis Heemstede, drink Christmas coffee with our friends from Coty, and get daily lenses before I can't read that whole stack of books during Christmas. And oh yes, pick up lemon meringue and warm apple pie from De Taarten Kamer in Amsterdam-Noord. As if that wasn't busy enough, I'm also having a birthday today.

“Merry Christmas.”

Is there hope in fearful days? Yes. My Renault Mégane Estate. It has the shortest turning radius and easily folds into the narrowest center street. It has a rearview screen so I don't accidentally run over a cat or Christmas ornament. An extremely spacious trunk (and a back seat that I can smoothly convert to a hatchback) where all my purchases (and received gifts because I'm having a birthday and Very Spoiled by my colleagues) and it has USB ports so I can recharge my phone in between because that one is also working overtime. It has Bose speakers that make the Glazen Huis and Sky Radio sound even cozier, and last but not least: it has a seat massage function so I don't go completely crazy during Christmas.

Would you like to try this delicious car? Take a test drive. Or inquire about the Personal Leaseplan. Then you simply have a new car with all the service and convenience without having to pay a huge amount of money.

Anyway. Merry Christmas.
