Mégane Musthave

As you may know (or maybe you don't and I'm telling you now), I spend quite a lot of time on the road in my life. You could call my car my second office. And my second living room. And kitchen. Off to Zierikzee for a business lunch with a dear client, then off to Friesland with the kids because we're going sailing for the weekend, and of course every day from home to the office and from the office to the city where I either have an important appointment or secretly lunch with a friend (which happens way too rarely), or just need to buy a new perfume. That just has to happen every now and then.

Anyway. If you recognize yourself in this, you know that a car has to meet many requirements. It needs to have presence and class and exude success, but not be flashy. Because then everyone will think your daily rate is too high anyway. It needs to be spacious, because you have to be able to transport your basic essentials like your laptop, makeup bag, new purchases, and kids (with their accessories) in it.

“You could call my car my second office. And my second living room. And kitchen.”

Furthermore, an adaptive cruise control is required, because if you are on the road as much as I am, before you know it, you’ve spent a month's salary on fines to the police. And you need that money so badly for shopping.

Another thing I can't do without in my second office slash living room is chair massage. Because a woman with a schedule simply cannot do without a massage now and then. Since we obviously have no time to go to a massage salon (and to be honest, I’d rather spend that money on more important things like, well, sunglasses or something), we take a car with a massage function. In the variations uplifting, lumbar, or relaxing. Depending on what I need at that moment.

And because the car is my second home and when I think I'm alone I believe I can sing particularly well, I like good speakers. Preferably from Bose. And then sing along loudly.

The perfect man may not exist (although mine comes pretty close), but I have found the ideal car. It's called the Renault Mégane Estate. Drop the mic.
