CLOSING A FITNESS SUBSCRIPTION?

Here’s what to look out for

Summer is in sight. What am I saying? It has already begun. There are mass gym subscriptions being closed to be able to appear satisfied on the beach. Now the biggest, cheapest, and most beautiful gym is closer than you think. One step outside the door and you're there. But if you still want to hang out with the weights and play with the cardio machines, you should pay attention when closing a gym subscription. Here are some tips:

  • How long are you tied to it and can you cancel a subscription just like that? That last question is essential.
  • Make sure there is a gym close to where you live, then you will go more often.
  • Wait for a deal.
  • Really check the fine print in the contract and also see if there are any hidden costs popping up. Before you know it, you're stuck with something expensive for a year.
  • Do you also want some personal guidance? Ask about the costs, as that can sometimes be an expensive joke.
  • What if you go on a long trip? Can you pause the subscription or transfer it to someone else?
  • Do you need classes? What does the schedule look like? Does it fit into your schedule? Ask yourself that.
  • Also check the changing rooms and showers first. Are you satisfied with them?
  • Start with a trial training session first, as you can then taste the atmosphere and see what kind of people come. Or you can take a trial subscription for a month, then you can really feel it out.
  • Check the opening hours and consider if you agree with them.
  • Also see if there are some nice men walking around. You might find that very nice or not at all. Hehe.
