PARIS #2

As befits a good fashion director, Simone was in Paris last week to sniff out all the trends. And of course, to share them with us.

I saw pastels, floral prints, embroidery, woven materials, and lots of ruffles by Alessandro dell’Acqua at Rochas.

What also stood out; there were remarkably many ankle-length dresses.

The trend shoe is the mules from Newbark. That is a shoe label from LA by Marjan Malakpour, the stylist of Heidi Klum, Halle Berry, and The Rolling Stones.

In the Louboutin showroom, the shoes were presented like candies: colorful, adorned with beads, glitter, and studs.

In the showroom, I get a nice lip from the makeup artist with one of the newest colors.

It was a bit of a journey, but the beautiful showroom is worth it.

The Acne collection is worth mentioning too. That collection is inspired by fishermen and a band that Jonny Johansson was a fan of in his teenage years. Lots of oversized jackets, chunky sweaters, and jumpsuits made of washed leather.
