5 ways to upgrade your ponytail
It is of course quite easy to quickly put your hair in a ponytail . Very recognizable. It doesn't mean that this basic style has to be boring or look a bit easy. No way, we give you five ways to upgrade the classic style to a new level. Looking at the inspiration from Fashion Week and the trends for this spring, you're totally good to go ponytail-wise.
1. Twist it
It looks incredibly complicated and very classic, but actually it's quite doable. You curl your hair, brush it out nicely, and then make a nice low ponytail. So you can easily do this the night before, because it can really look a bit messy.
2. Accessorize it
A hair accessory quickly gives a good upgrade. A royal upgrade, mind you. At Haider Ackermann, colorful accents were played with, and at Elie Saab, the models had the cutest little crowns. With this, you can quickly give a ponytail something extra.
3. Double-up
If you know how to make a good ponytail , then you can actually easily achieve this variant as well. Seen last year at Ryan Roche on the catwalk, but still very much in style. At least, we are just breathing new life into it. You start with a classic tight ponytail – smooth and shiny is a must – and then use new hair ties again. Very thin hair ties, because they shouldn't dominate.
4. Braids
You can really easily make an upgrade by combining it with braiding. Braids already give more allure, so you quickly elevate a ponytail to a higher status. It doesn't have to be complicated braiding, loose braids are already sufficient.
5. Twist it away
Unless you make the hair tie the topic of conversation (see point 3), you should just work it away. This can be done by twisting a strand of hair around it or, as in the example above, solving it a bit more creatively. So play with the strands around your hair tie. That gives it just a little extra. It is of course quite easy to quickly put your hair in a ponytail. Very recognizable. It doesn't mean that this basic style has to be boring...
