SUPER SIMPLE RAW CHOCOLATE CAKE
In general, I believe that sweets should just be made the way they are meant to be, so with sugar, flour, and butter, because otherwise, it really is a lot less tasty. Then just take an extra round in the woods or just stick to one piece, that works too. But there is a chocolate cake that contains a lot less sugar than normal and where neither nor flour is involved. And folks, I can tell you: it was a hit with my friends. I'm giving you the recipe.
Ingredients
For the base
100 grams of almonds
250 grams of fresh dates (preferably large and soft, such as medjool dates)
For the chocolate
100 grams of raw cacao
160 ml maple syrup
200 ml melted coconut oil
The juice and zest of two oranges
Start by making the base. Grind the almonds finely in a food processor. Then add the dates (without pits!). Mix until a sticky dough forms. Press the dough into a cake tin and place it in the freezer.
To make the chocolate topping, pour all the ingredients into the food processor and mix until smooth. Let it mix for at least 5 minutes. Pour the mixture over the base and let it set in the fridge overnight. Decorate the cake with orange zest and serve.
