The 5 nineties jeans you want to have this season
So I have an obsession with nineties jeans. I find it pure nostalgia. At the same time, the new models all have a nice current twist and really do a lot of good for your butt. Make way for the next five jeans. I already have a few at home, and I must have the rest. And you too. I'm sure of it.
1. Levi’s 501 CT Boyfriend Time Gone By
The coolest one is the 501 CT Boyfriend Time Gone By. With rips! Yes, it remains strange to buy a pair of jeans that already has holes in it, but I tell you: this pair is a hit. It fits wonderfully relaxed, the look is super cool, because nineties and a bit momsy. And you can wear it rolled up, but also just long. With sneakers, men's shoes, heels, or sandals. Zero mistakes.
2. Levi’s 501 CT Surf Shack
The second coolest is the 501 CT Surf Shack. Again, a nice lift for your butt and a tiptop nineties butt. You can roll the jeans up or wear them long, and it works best with a simple T-shirt or striped sweater. And don't forget the leather jacket. A really nice piece for basic days with a trendy edge.
3. Levi’s Wedgie
What’s still on my wish list is the Wedgie from Levi’s. My colleague Elke Wijnands has one and every time she wears it, I go crazy with desire. No, not in that way, but in the envy-inducing way. That I want one too. That I want a butt like that too. And even though I know I have a slightly different (read larger) size than Elke, I must and will have it in my divine possession. In a nutshell: it’s high, long, and straight, and the legs are frayed. Which gives the jeans a super fun current touch. Seriously, I’m in love, you probably are too. Go take a look quickly.
4. Lee Dungarees
This one is also top, and oh so nineties (and yet also ‘now’): this dungaree from Lee. This piece is a real eye-catcher, and you can perfectly combine it with sneakers, boots, brogues, or heels. With the narrow legs, the motto is: anything goes. Now just dare to wear it.
5. High waist jeans shorts from Topshop
For this one, I personally need to lose six kilos, but for everyone who doesn’t need to: this short high waist jeans from Topshop is, in my opinion, the jeans hit of the season. The embroidery, the high butt: it’s just too cute for words. And that’s why I won’t waste too many words on it. If I were you, I would just order it quickly. Then I’ll pray for summer weather in the meantime. You’re welcome!
