The 6 coolest European beach hotels
I recently hit you with a lovely piece about Formentera (the stylish little sister of Ibiza). But what I forgot to mention is that you can find one of the better beach hotels in Europe on Formentera. 1. Gecko Beach Club / Formentera.
Not an ultra-luxury affair, but:
the hotel is located on Formentera and that says it all. Because Formentera is just everything (just read for a moment). The hotel is right on a beautiful beach, although there is of course also a swimming pool available. Oh, and there are lovely daybeds, the restaurant is accessible-romantic (dining with your feet in or near the sand), there are super cool cocktails, and you can take yoga classes. Be sure to book the Beach Suite, the view there is phenomenal. here 2. Vila Joya / Algarve.
so I've never been, but MY GOD I need to go here immediately. Just the light of this boutique resort is already stunning, let alone the hotel and the rooms themselves. Almost all rooms have a beautiful view over the gardens and the sea. With a bit of luck – and a bit of extra money – you even have your own terrace. Oh, and after a short walk through a beautiful garden, you find yourself on a lovely ‘sheltered’ beach. The inner person has also been considered, as the accompanying restaurant (under chef Dieter Koschina) has been awarded two Michelin stars. But do you know what the best part is? There is a wonderful laid-back atmosphere.
I am here Yes, that all sounds quite Egyptian, but it is Greek and it is located in one of the three ‘fingers’ of the Greek island of Halkidiki. The beach at.
3. Ekies Resort (Vourvourou Bay, Sithonia)
is extremely suitable for people who do not like high waves: the water is very calm and shallow. There are even hammocks in the water, where you can chill without any problems. This makes it very suitable for families with young children. TOP are the brand new family suites with private pool: you can have a great time here with a whole bunch of nice people. Well, and I haven't even mentioned the incredibly delicious and fresh food and the great styling in the rooms and the bars and restaurants (beachy, colorful, relaxed, accessible design-y). So book! Just make sure to go in the off- or shoulder season, because in high season it gets too crowded. this hotel “An Italian, cinematic cute village where there are plenty of family-style guesthouses in beautiful historic houses in faded colors”.
”4. Strandhotel Seeduyn (Vlieland)”
Right on the wonderfully wide and quiet beach of Vlieland, where it is still relatively quiet when the weather is nice. Which we are of course still waiting for this summer, but that aside. There are
rooms with a balcony and a sea view, but you can also choose an apartment where you can cook for yourself. 5. Riva del Sole (Sicily).
Look, Sicily is already a vacation in itself. The food is fantastic, the sea is fantastic, the temperature is fantastic, the villages are fantastic, in short: all superiority there. The big question is: where are you going to sleep? Jet recommends hotel Riva del Sole in the romantic, historic village of Cefalu. Very accessible, really not too luxurious, but right on the beach and thus in a lovely little village. This is pure yet accessible perfection, believe Jet. And at least you still have some money left for shopping and eating until you drop.
6. La Malà (Cinque Terre).
This is a lovely authentic
Italian super-luxury hotel in the almost criminally cute, romantic village of Vernazza. That is an Italian, cinematic cute village where there are plenty of family-style guesthouses in beautiful historic houses in faded colors. La Malà is located in a charming ‘antique Ligurian house’, and all the rooms have a beautiful view. Plus: it’s only a five-minute walk to the beach. This is a village with narrow streets and dead-end pieces, so come especially by train (they will pick you up from the station) or by taxi (they know how to drive, of course). I recently hit you with a lovely piece about Formentera (the stylish little sister of Ibiza). But what I forgot to mention….
