The 7 items you want from the H&M Conscious Collection
The advantage of my job (seeing all collections first) also has a downside (waiting a long time until it hits the store). Thank goodness there was only a month in between my visit to Paris to see the Conscious Collection from H&M and the moment of purchase. I can strike while the iron is hot today (well, a little strike, it’s all about sustainability after all) and yesterday, as a form of therapy, I already put together my top 7. You can now view them and buy them tomorrow, so you only have to wait 24 hours. In that respect, you’re doing it a lot smarter than I am.
1. The dress
H&M has included three wedding dresses in the Conscious Collection, of which I find this the most beautiful. The price may be on the high side for what you’re used to from H&M, but for something that is sustainably made, you’re willing to pay more, and for a wedding dress, it’s of course a bargain. I’m definitely going to buy this and wear it with a cowboy boot.
2. The jacket
H&M's head of sustainability wore this jacket, and the unfortunate thing is that you don’t see the best part of the jacket in the lookbook. It has a back that looks like a half circle has been cut out from the bottom. You really have to see it, but it’s a really cool blazer that you’re going to enjoy for a long time.
3. The top
The lace top is perfect on a worn-out pair of jeans, a short denim shorts (with a short cowboy boot again), beautiful on a long skirt, and of course, it looks best with item 4…
4. The skirt
Perfect duet with the aforementioned item. A sandal underneath, a short boot, and you’ll be the hit of every festival you go to.
5. The kaftan
I get such a craving for Ibiza, Greece, or anywhere the sun shines and the glass is filled. All because of this kaftan. To wear with such wide pants, but also super fun by the pool with nothing underneath. Well, your bikini then.
6. The skirt
Do you remember the skirt that Liesbeth wore during our Look of the Year Awards? That was the eye-catcher of the Conscious Collection. I find this black one the equivalent of that skirt. Voluminous, slightly shorter in the front than in the back, allowing you to catch a glimpse of leg, and so party-proof.
7. The little short dress
With pockets. I love dresses and skirts with pockets.
