THE DREAM OF EVERY TRAVELER: NEVER WORK AGAIN AND BE ON VACATION FOREVER
Can I please be adopted by this family?
If you ask me which young family has the coolest life at the moment, I undoubtedly say the Gee family: aka The Bucket List Family. I wish someone had protected me from this Instagram account, but unfortunately: it's too late.
Leaving everything behind to fly around the world three times. Doesn't everyone secretly dream of that? Of course, you can also do it with your wife and three kids, like Garrett Gee. Okay, now there is of course a bizarre story behind this. The young father ‘just’ came up with an app and sold it to Snapchat. His profit? 54 MILLION DOLLARS. Hey Sander, when are you going to develop apps? Go ahead, I won't stop you, really.
Anyway, the rich life in a villa (while everyone thinks: you have to because you have so much money, that's how it works) seemed like nothing to Garrett. Permanently going on vacation, that became the plan. The couple literally sold everything they had and went to explore the world with the kids. The intention was to travel for six months, but oh well, the world is big, and if your money never seems to run out, I understand that you stay. And so The Bucket List Family has been away for over nine months. From Fiji to Hawaii and Australia, then moving on to New Zealand and Thailand. And lo and behold, Europe is also on the agenda. When they come to Amsterdam, I will go crazy, you know. Then I will come up with a plan to end up in one of those suitcases. I don't care how long I have to sit in it.
‘Why are their kids so super cute? And why does he have such an abnormally good figure? And why am I not swimming with pigs?’
Well, if you find all that already sounding enviously, you should take a look at their cringingly perfect Instagram account. Why are those kids so super cute? And why does he have such an abnormally good figure? And why am I not swimming with pigs? Meanwhile, the family has come up with a life goal that I need a little bucket for. “Getting closer in marriage and with family, leading a service-oriented life with the passion to find happiness with less. Becoming more open-minded, opening our hearts, respecting nature and the planet, and making memories for the rest of our lives.” Excuse me, finding happiness with less? That's easy to say with the eternal vacation life and 54 million in the bank.
Well, you understand: I just can't handle all this and am extremely jealous. So let's make friends with the enemy. Gee family, are you looking for an older daughter/manager/babysitter/full-time snorkel cleaner/whatever? Aside from the fact that I can be a bit of a grumpy person sometimes, I'm quite nice. And if you let me swim with pigs and bring my laptop, heels and cats, we'll get along just fine. Really.
