THE EASIEST GOOD RESOLUTION EVER

1. Be kind to your fellow human.

3. Become sportswoman of the year, but then ultra-tight like Simoon.

4. QUIT SMOKING (I really need to stop smoking).

5. And then also let go of those ten kilos that stubbornly cling to me.

6. Just overall be a bit more comfortable with myself.

7. A fluffy skin.

8. Traveling.

You should know that I see good resolutions as a necessary evil. And I find them more evil than necessary. Why? Because almost all attempts you make on that first morning of January fail. Yes, I read that somewhere and it doesn't leave my mind. Anyway, starting a resolution on a hangover morning is a particularly bad plan. You're cranky, so that kindness falls by the wayside. And to be comfortable, I just have to laugh REALLY HARD and grumpily (while lighting a cigarette).

But I admit: a new year offers opportunities. Opportunity to be slim, opportunity for a smoke-free (and stink-free) existence, opportunity for the zen version of myself. Hope that life, shall we say. And now an email popped into my inbox that made me think: I CAN DO THIS (and so can you).

“I say: this is the kick-off for the new year that you need”

I won't keep you in suspense for long, because you're not waiting for that and you have better things to do on New Year's Eve. It was an email from Tom Sebastian (yes, THE make-up and hairstylist) about the Beauty Balance Boost week. And guys, there are benefits to that. Benefit 1: it starts on January 2 (I want a huge round of applause for Tom, because January 2 is so much better than January 1). Benefit 2: it lasts a week, and benefit 3: it's easy and you see results very quickly.

And now you want to know what it is and if you can do it too (if I can, then you can too). This week is all about taking care of your insides, because you see that reflected on the outside. When you wake up, you get an email from Tom with a task or exercise. This ensures that you start 2017 without stress but with energy. And now a little checklist to see if this is something for you: do you have no idea which product suits your skin type or what your color is, have you (confession) been wearing the same make-up for five years, are you sometimes stressed about it and want a simple view of beauty? Beauty Balance Boost it is.

I say: this is the kick-off for the new year that you need (I do). So you can join in too, click here just for a moment. And when the week is over, I'll chat with Tom about how to hold onto all those vibes as best as possible. Of course, I'll secretly share that with you, because ladies united and all that. Email me at adeline@amayzine.com if you join in, because I'm looking for partners in crime.
