THE TASTIEST AND HEALTHIEST CHOCOLATE BAR
I don't know any woman who doesn't love chocolate; it can't possibly be that one exists, right? I also know that every woman sees chocolate as a guilty pleasure because, well, with a bar (preferably the thickest pieces of milk chocolate with raisins, if you ask me) in your mouth every day, you can bet that you'll notice something about your body. But I wouldn't be Jet if I didn't have a solution for that.
You have to be a bit okay with the words ‘vegan’, ‘superfoods’, and ‘organic’ because: ta-da! Have you heard of the bars from Ombar? They are dairy-free chocolate bars made from raw organic cacao from Ecuador. They have a delicious creamy taste, and that's because there is (in almost all bars) coconut cream in it. And the fun and handy thing about this treat is that they are just small bars. You can't eat more than one of those bars, because then it's already gone.
Ombar falls under the ‘healthier’ bars because they use raw and organic ingredients. Raw dried cacao beans fall into the superfoods category and contain a lot of good substances that are great for your body. A raw cacao bean consists of quite a bit of polyphenols (don't forget this name), which are chemical compounds that come from plants and help lower cholesterol levels, among other things. Additionally, they also have anti-inflammatory properties. There are also many antioxidants in them, which are good for a healthy metabolism and firm skin.
The chocolate from Ombar is made from unrefined coconut sugar and fruits, such as acai berries, blackberries, blueberries, goji berries, cranberries, and strawberries. Okay, okay, are you convinced yet?
Ombar is available for €2.59 at, among others, Albert Heijn.
