THIS IS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL BEACH HOTEL IN THE WORLD

And it's still quite affordable too

Let me start with a small note. This hotel has been chosen as the most beautiful beach hotel in the world. But the voter is Jetsetter, a website where you can, indeed quite coincidentally, book this hotel. It's a bit like Willem-Alexander referring to a letter to the editor in an Argentine newspaper stating that the antics of Jorge Videla weren't that bad. That the letter was written by the man himself (Jorge, not W-A) he had overlooked. A bit of a strange comparison perhaps, but it boils down to the fact that the sender is not entirely objective.

But anyway. I am objective and I want to go here too. And so do you. We will fly to Sint Maarten or Puerto Rico (we'll do that). Then we take a small charter flight to Anguilla, because that's where this tiny island has the hotel. Now you might think: annoying, such a transfer, but it really isn't. Because that transfer scares off tourists who prefer to carry their backpacks on their bellies and we have the place to ourselves.

After that, we book a suite at Zemi Beach House Resort. Want to know how much that costs me? Well, 334 dollars per night. That's about 300 euros and for paradise, I think that's quite okay. Because what do we find there? A pool whose view smoothly transitions into the ocean. And it is so sparkling and blue and fabulous that you can hardly look at it without bursting into tears of happiness.

Especially when you think of the cocktails that will be served soon and the fresh fish that have just been plucked from the ocean for us. And oh yes, did I mention there's a spa in a 300-year-old building? And we all know that a 300-year-old building at the most beautiful beach hotel in the world will do very well on your Facebook.

From your private pool, you can just stand in your little bath looking out over the beach. You could hop right out of your pool and skip across the beach to the sea.
