THIS VISIT TURNED OUT TO BE A LITTLE THING FOR SIMONE UNEXPECTEDLY

Last week I was invited to the Kiehl’s apothecary preparation dinner. Phew, that's quite a mouthful. Kiehl’s, a brand that always makes me very happy. With such nice products, there’s actually always SOMETHING on my wishlist when another trip to the States is planned.

For those who are not yet familiar with this brand. Kiehl’s originated as a traditional pharmacy in New York and the products that are marketed contain only natural ingredients.

The American brand is coming out this month with Apothecary preparations, a personalized skincare service. And with that, it goes back to its origins. I was allowed to test this before the official launch. How unfortunate.

That pure nature and honesty are the Kwords was shown by the beautifully set table upon entering the location on Kalverstraat. And I haven't even mentioned the amazing menu. Perfectly arranged and heaven on earth for a health freak like me. Look, I love that! A glass of bubbles? Okay, that I can do.

And then it was time for my private consultation.

With the help of a Skin Atlas, my skin type was examined and we discussed which skin problems I would like to tackle. For each ‘problem’, there is a complex. Now, I turned thirty this year (yes it was a struggle) so you can guess which one was number one for me! Huh wrinkles? That was always a far-off show for me?

With a bag filled with strengthening Strengthening Concentrate and two complexes, which I can work on at home, I sat down contentedly at the perfectly set table. As if I wasn't already pleased enough, I was presented with a plate that many food bloggers would be jealous of. Again pure, honest, and especially very green (=happy face).

After a delicious four-course dinner and a nice chat with the lovely girls from Kiehl’s Cosmetics, I walked out with my holy bottles and a big smile.
