USEFUL THINGS YOU CAN DO DURING A (TRAIN) JOURNEY

I took the train to Paris this weekend and I have decided to never go by car again. For these and these reasons, but also because there is always traffic, parking is difficult, and it just costs money. In short, you don't notice anything from a Thalys ride. You are in Amsterdam within 3.5 hours (you really can't do that by car), you sit super comfortably, and you can make yourself incredibly useful during that travel time. You can't go anywhere else, the wifi is super shittie, so you might as well work on your to-do list.

1

There are probably still some people on your list that you need to email. Bring your laptop and write those emails. As soon as you have wifi again, you can send them.

2

If you are already busy in your email inbox; clean that up.

3

Go through all your photos on your phone. Half of them can definitely go. And maybe there are some songs you will never listen to again. It's great to make a little space again.

4

Maybe you're missing a button somewhere, a zipper is broken, or you have a hole in a piece of clothing. Bring some thread and the clothes that need to be fixed. And in the meantime, you can watch a nice movie or series.

5

You start a day after the vacation very enthusiastically with selecting all the photos, but then you realize that it's quite a task, so you stop pretty quickly. Well, there you go. On the plane, you finally have hours of time for that. Do download the “photo album program” at home via Hema. Although, Lies might have something to say about this.

6

Start a diary. Write down how you feel and what you are working on. Good to clear your head and nice to read back later.

7

Buy a nice little book about the city you are traveling to and read up on it. Make a shopping/restaurant/museum plan.
