Wat te doen dit weekend

It is already the first weekend of November again, so you know what that means... Nothing really, but I do want to emphasize the following fact: there are only eight weeks left until Christmas. What does that have to do with your weekend plans? Very little, but still, it's something to think about. Anyway, before I digress further; here are the most fun activities for the upcoming weekend.

THE LARGEST WINE BAR IN THE NETHERLANDS

In capitals indeed. And with an exclamation mark, because this is something that almost everyone gets happy about, right? I at least know what I'm going to do for the next two days. How does it work? Grapedistrict (maybe you remember them from their wise wine lessons last winter)  is celebrating its tenth anniversary and they are doing so in a very fun way. In De Hallen in Amsterdam, they are opening a wine bar where you can go tonight and tomorrow. Upon entering, you pay for a glass, after which you can wander around among the various winemakers and producers. On Saturday, you can taste all the wines for ten euros. You also learn something from it, so you are actually drinking very responsibly.

Museum Night Amsterdam

Not such a party animal? Then you might be better off going to Museum Night on Saturday evening. Last weekend it was in The Hague and now it's Amsterdam's turn. You purchase a ticket that gives you access to one of the 50 participating museums spread throughout the city. The opening is provided by Top Notch at the city archive, and with your ticket, you also have a ticket left over for one of the participating museums. Plenty of reasons to take a look, it seems to me. I will definitely be there.

MTV Music Week

Perhaps I am one of the few who missed this, but the MTV EMAs are in Rotterdam this coming weekend. Among others, Bella Hadid's hubby The Weekend and Kings of Leon will perform here. Furthermore, Justin Bieber, Kanye West, and Beyoncé are among the nominees, so perhaps a trip to the port city is worth considering. Actually, it's a good idea anyway, because all over the city, various performances and special acts are organized around the EMAs.

Brunch Boat

Yes, you read that right, a brunch boat. It speaks for itself, on the brunch boat from Gs you can either recover from the night before or just enjoy a hearty brunch. Perhaps not the smartest idea if you're still a bit hungover and unstable from the night before, but it's fun. And also a good idea if you have a date with someone you really like and want that person to be unable to escape. Did I say that out loud? Bet you thought that too?

P.S.: Reservations are handy.

Seems like enough inspiration to me, I'll see you next week. And do you have tips? Theo@amayzine.com. Enjoy!
